From the 1954 annual report of the Missouri Highway Commission, this picture shows the intersection of US 50 and 63 east of Jefferson City at the Osage River. This intersection had not changed much until 2000, when construction began on a new interchange and bridge over the river (complete with construction-sign mistakes). The interchange is scheduled for completion in June 2002, with a new bridge over the Osage River for westbound traffic into the state capitol scheduled for completion in 2003.
