Because of frequent construction in recent years along the Intercity Viaduct (I-70 and US 40) between Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri, many freeway signs into downtown Kansas City, Missouri encourage the use of I-670 as an alternate route for going between the cities. This sign is on I-70, approaching downtown Kansas City, Missouri from the east.
The end of I-670 is marked about a mile and a half from here at the southeast corner of the downtown freeway loop.
