It looks like a bite's been taken out of one of the signs on this gantry ahead of the exits at the northeast corner of the Kansas City downtown freeway loop. I believe the missing corner contained a route marker for Interstate 70. The modification appears to be deliberate, judging by the signs at the exits themselves.
