Here's some very old button copy on US 36 approaching Hamilton from the west. The sign probably dates from the time the US 36 expressway was constructed in this area, probably the late 1960s.
The eastern end of Business Route 36 also uses this interchange. As is the usual Missouri practice, that route isn't marked for eastbound traffic, but it is marked for westbound traffic.
