Even though a Missouri route is shown in this sign assembly, it's actually five miles away from Missouri. This photo, looking east into Arkansas, also shows an Arkansas route and an Oklahoma route sharing the same road.
Even though the Oklahoma marker is the state-outline style (sometimes called the "meat cleaver") adopted in 2006, an earlier version of the sign assembly at the same spot also showed Missouri 43.
