Look carefully -- most even-numbered Missouri routes are considered east-west routes and have "east" or "west" cardinal direction banners. But Missouri 112 just west of Cassville is labeled "north" and "south". It's not the only such route in Missouri -- Missouri 202 and Missouri 148 are two others. But those two highways are numbered to match their corresponding routes in another state. Missouri 112 is contained entirely within the state.
