Instead of "Business 65" in Sedalia, Missouri, 765 is the designation for the old highway into the city's downtown area. Ohio Street is the main north-south street in downtown Sedalia while Main Street is the main east-west street. Route 765 is essentially a loop through downtown Sedalia. Until the late 1970s, Ohio Street was Missouri 750 and went along Ohio Street to US 50. Sometime between 1977 and 1979, the state highway designation was pulled from Ohio Street between Main and US 50 and the Missouri 750 designation was dropped. This sign is at the city line north of Sedalia.
