How to Dial a Phone

In 1954, the central Missouri city of Centralia was switched over to dial telephone service. This advertisement in the November 25, 1954 issue of the Centralia Fireside Guard explained how to use the new "automatic" telephones.

For easier viewing, I've split the ad up into three parts:

The scans were made from paper copies made from microfilm readers in the Centralia city library. I've also scanned a couple of Guard articles from 1954 about the changeover:

» Before the switch
» After the switch (published December 2, 1954)
